About this event
Yin Yoga Foundational Training Immersion is a two-day training focused on Yin Yoga theory and practice. It is designed for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners who want a stronger foundation in this slow, meditative method.
Led by Sarah Beston, the weekend blends theory, philosophy, discussion, and embodied practice. Participants explore how Yin Yoga works on the physical, energetic, and emotional levels of the body, including connective tissue, functional alignment, and meridian theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The training covers the philosophy and origins of Yin Yoga, Yin and Yang theory, fascia and connective tissue, long-held postures, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and the foundations of teaching Yin. For those interested in sharing the practice, it also includes class environment, sequencing, language, pacing, and holding space for students.
The October immersion meets Saturday, October 24 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Sunday, October 25 from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a separate teaching practicum date to be announced. Participants receive a certificate of completion and are eligible for 13 Yoga Alliance continuing education hours.
