Elk Medicine Drum Building Immersion is a one-day ceremonial workshop at Wild Willow Farm in Franklin, New Hampshire. Guided by master drum builder Jane E. King, participants will create their own 15-inch Elk Medicine Drum in an intimate group of no more than 12 people.
The experience weaves traditional drum making with guided inner journeying and ceremony. Participants are invited to connect with the spirit and symbolism of elk, receive a personal message or intention, and carry it through each stage of creating their drum.
Working directly with elk hide, a wooden hoop, and the elements of water, air, earth, and fire, the making process becomes both tactile and deeply personal. The finished drum is intended to serve as an instrument, a ceremonial companion, and a meaningful object created by hand.
This immersive day may especially resonate with those drawn to earth-based practices, sacred craft, sound, ceremony, and the experience of making something with intention. All materials are included, and space is limited.
